The correctional health care study aims to understand provider perspectives on professional issues impacting carceral care. It is funded by a faculty grant from the Center for Bioethics at UNC. Interview data collection began in August 2024 and was completed in April 2025. Overall, 55 providers of health care in state and federal prisons, and in jails, were interviewed from across the United States. Data analysis is ongoing.
